UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA

COLLEGE OF SCIENCE LECTURE SERIES: WATER

During a challenging six-month period at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, our collaboration with the University of Arizona, facilitated by Jenna Rutschman, took on a significant and timely challenge.

The university, renowned for its engaging in-person lecture series that resonated with both campus goers and the local community, faced an unprecedented obstacle: shifting these valuable lectures to an online platform due to restrictions on gatherings.

Bringing Campus Lectures to the Digital World During a Pandemic

Our objective was clear yet complex: to translate the essence of the university's lectures into an online format without losing the depth and interactive nature that made them so popular. This involved a meticulous process of transforming these in-person events into digital content that would captivate an online audience.

In our role as an editor and producer, Daring Creative was responsible for ensuring the smooth transition of these lectures from the physical to the digital realm. This entailed detailed planning, creative editing, and strategic production to preserve the educational value and engagement of each lecture in its new format.

Working remotely

This was a remote project for us, adding an extra layer of complexity to the task. Despite the physical distance, we managed to ensure a high level of collaboration and synchronization with the university team, Jenna and Miles. Our collective efforts resulted in a cohesive series that mirrored the university's dedication to education and community involvement.

The University of Arizona project showcased the flexibility and innovation needed during an unprecedented global crisis, and it highlighted the potential of digital platforms to continue delivering educational content effectively.
